Tango; the tail of.

One evening in 2016, I found myself saving a tiny orange kitten from danger. We were finally in the clear and it was apparent I needed to find the best name for this cute, playful, innocent thing. A name such as tangerine or mango seemed to fit well with its orange, striped color. Tango came to mind, which I believed was the ideal blend of the two.

I woke up from this deep, vivid dream obsessing over the name Tango. Adopting a dog from the Humane Society of Central Oregon was at the top of my list and this dream suddenly solidified the next step! I had the name and now all I needed was the perfect rescue. In February 2017, I went to the Humane Society after seeing a litter of border collies arrive from Eastern Oregon. After visiting these adorable, wild-spirited pups, I picked one out. His kennel name was Alabama, and soon thereafter Tango!

In excitement, I immediately started introducing him to all my friends and family. When I presented him to my dad, he asked where I got the name. I elaborated on my detailed dream about rescuing a cute orange kitten that I wanted to name something between tangerine and mango, resulting in Tango. My dad swiftly responded, “When I was just a little kid, I named my very first horse Tango.”
